DIY 3 Simple Sugar Scrubs

Sugar is, in reality, a naturally gentle abrasive that helps remove dead skin from your face lips and body to repair and refresh tired, clogged pores.

DIY Sugar scrubs

Sugar is a natural humectant, meaning that it pulls moisture from the air into the skin. So when you add products with sugar or sugar derivatives, they can actually help the skin to hydrate and retain moisture inside.

Furthermore, it is a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that penetrates the skin and breaks down the “glue” that bonds skin cells, promotes cell turnover and produces fresher, more youthful skin. Glycolic acid is usually used to treat skin that is damaged by the sun and that is aging.

But Why Exfoliate?

Exfoliation is a major part of skincare. The process helps to get rid of dead skin cells and clean the pores while reducing the appearance of acne, fine lines, and wrinkles. Regular exfoliation also allows the serums and moisturizers to penetrate deeper so that they work more effectively.
